Training Course against Gender Violence

In collaboration with Voce Donna – Best Western Plus Park Hotel Pordenone

A social responsibility project for the community

Gender-based violence is an issue that affects every community and every workplace. That is why, in 2025, the Best Western Plus Park Hotel Pordenone launched a training programme for all staff in collaboration with Voce Donna, an anti-violence centre operating in Pordenone.

The goals of the course

We believe that hospitality is not just about welcoming guests, but also about listening, paying attention and being aware.
Those who work in hotels meet different people and hear different stories every day, and can become — even unknowingly — a first point of reference in delicate situations.

With this project, we aim to:

Better understanding gender-based violence and how it manifests itself
Recognising signs and indicators that may arise while working in a hotel
Learning to offer initial support in a safe and non-judgmental manner
Knowing how to correctly refer a potential victim to the appropriate services
Making our hotel a more attentive, prepared and responsible place

La formazione coinvolge tutto il personale: reception, housekeeping, breakfast, manutenzione, direzione e marketing.

Social impact and value for the local area

This project represents a concrete choice for social sustainability.
Alongside our work on environmental and cultural sustainability, we choose to focus on people, relationships and the protection of fundamental rights.

It is a responsibility that we take on as a hotel, as an active part of the community and as individuals.

Media coverage
press and television report on the project

The project has been very well received in the area, with dedicated reports and articles in: Il Gazzettino, Il Messaggero Veneto, Il Popolo, Il13 – local news programme, Tg3 Rai Friuli Venezia Giulia – regional edition.
